Hayao! Jeeblee.

This is kind of related to Studio Ghibli.

For our module on Writing and Publishing Online and Electronic Media, 3 of us set out to create a fansite based on Studio Ghibli. We were going to call it Studio Jeeblee and have basic facts and general film timeline information etc.

We failed miserably. We spent many lessons trying to get the homepage set out just perfect so it didn't look like a couple of kids had just done it in a day. It just wouldn't work. So after weeks and possibly months wasted we decided to change to a magzaine idea.

After joking around with Hyao name (Hayao!) we decided to use this in our magazine's title. Our fanzine was to be called "Hayao! Jeeblee". Complete with exclamation point.

Work pursued and we slowly made progress via the completion of the cover page. It looked professional amatuerish, meaning it looked good for people not used to being in the magazne business.

We each were assigned a double page spread to complete. I got fanart and contents because I are stoopid, "Suelne" got Filmography and What's her name on here (Haku's girlfriend) (EDIT: chihiro) Got A history of Studio Ghibli. Both of them excelled and I tried my best on my bits. I even did a mock poster for Ponyo on the back cover. We looked over everything many times and then called it a day last Friday.

Converting to PDF and viewing it afterwards was a triumph. We all just wanted to go home so this was A* material right here (unlike my report on it which is full of mistakes and didn't even talk about the website and back covers :s).

I'd like to thank the Hayao! Jeeblee team, which made working on this assignment the most fun I've had working on any assignment to date (even though it was hard).

P.S. This forum was part of the website project, but I didn't want it to die. If this could become something then that would be great, but otherwise, we tried.
